Murder Suspect Agam Tzarfi Transferred to Abu Kabir Detention Facility
Prison authorities transferred murder defendant Agam Tzarfi to Abu Kabir following disciplinary issues at Neve Tirtza prison as legal proceedings continue in Jerusalem.
Prison Service Commissioner Kobi Yaakobi has ordered the transfer of Agam Tzarfi, charged with involvement in the murder of her ex-partner Binhayu Razi, from the Neve Tirtza women's prison to the Abu Kabir detention facility. The decision follows incidents involving her behavior and friction with fellow inmates and prison staff.
The move comes about two weeks after the Israel Prison Service separated Tzarfi from her co-defendant Shilat Chuta. Both had been held in the same cell at Neve Tirtza until Chuta was moved to another facility.
The case stems from the murder of Binhayu Razi at an Airbnb apartment in the Nachlaot neighborhood of Jerusalem. According to the indictment, Tzarfi and Chuta are accused of involvement alongside other defendants.
Meanwhile, legal proceedings continue at the Jerusalem District Court, where defense attorneys argued that the evidence is insufficient to sustain a murder charge.
