Kisu Group to Open Indonesian-Asian Fusion Restaurant Tana in Rehovot
The Kisu group will open Tana, a large Indonesian-Asian fusion restaurant in Rehovot by December 2026, featuring handcrafted Balinese architecture and a unique menu.
In December 2026, the Kisu group is set to open its brand-new restaurant in Rehovot. Named Tana, the venue will feature architectural elements imported directly from Indonesia, handcrafted in Bali specifically for the project and flown into Israel. Known for accessible and family-friendly Asian dining, the group is branching out by introducing dishes inspired by Indonesian cuisine, a culinary tradition less familiar to the Israeli public.
A New Culinary Direction
Spanning 800 square meters, Tana means earth. According to information shared with mako, the menu will offer an Indonesian-Asian fusion. This marks a distinct shift from the broad, familiar menus that have defined the group's restaurants up to now, raising curiosity about how far they will take this bold culinary direction.
"A larger, newer, and more beautiful home for our flagship concept," said Kisu Group CEO Adi Englander regarding their upcoming expansions.
Expansion Beyond Gush Dan
Patrons of Kisu restaurants are familiar with the winning formula: sushi, gyoza, buns, salads, soups, and wok dishes from across Asia, served at approachable prices suitable for families. The group famously started from a small Pho joint on Yirmeyahu Street in Tel Aviv before expanding into regional hubs. In October 2024, Enzo opened in Modiin, followed by Cezanca at the Big Fashion complex in Ashdod during the High Holidays in 2025.
Next year, the flagship Kisu restaurant will relocate from Raphael Eitan Street in Kiryat Ono to a new commercial center on HaDuvdevan Street, covering 900 square meters. Furthermore, in 2027, Kisu plans to establish a presence in Tel Aviv with a 600-square-meter restaurant inside Fattal's new Palatin Hotel at the corner of Ahad Ha'Am and Nahalat Binyamin streets.
