Israeli Travel Trends 2026: Tirana, Paphos, and Miami See Surge
Data from the Airports Authority shows that Tirana, Paphos, and Miami saw significant surges in Israeli travelers in 2026, while Athens and Dubai remain top destinations.
The year 2026 presents an interesting picture regarding the travel habits of Israelis, as data from the Airports Authority and travel companies indicate several destinations that recorded a significant surge in passenger numbers. Alongside traditional favorites leading the list, remarkable growth was also registered in several emerging locations.
At the top of the list for highest growth rates is Tirana, Albania, where the number of passenger volumes more than doubled with an increase of over 100%. Paphos, Cyprus followed with a growth of over 55%, while Miami in the USA continued to strengthen with a rise of more than 27%.
Additional destinations showing growth include Abu Dhabi in the UAE, up by more than 14%, and Bangkok, Thailand, which recorded an increase of over 10% in passenger traffic.
Alongside this growth, the top popular destinations among Israeli travelers still include Athens, Dubai, Larnaca, New York, Paris, and Rome. Dubai maintains its status as a key destination and serves as a major layover hub for connecting flights, despite security tensions and ongoing regional conflicts.
Data indicates that Israelis continue to favor accessible destinations with relatively short travel distances. Alongside urban getaways, demand remains focused on family vacations, shopping trips, and leisure beach holidays.
The overall picture for 2026 highlights a combination of familiar leading hubs and locations experiencing rapid growth.
