IDF Commando Forces Dismantle Hezbollah's Underground Command Center on Ali Taher Ridge
IDF Commando and Yahalom forces dismantled a major Hezbollah underground command center on the Ali Taher ridge after a three-month secret operation, trapping and eliminating dozens of operatives.
For about three months, the Commando Brigade and Yahalom forces operated in secret on the Ali Taher ridge, uncovering the central command complex of Hezbollah's Badr unit. The forces gradually took control of the area, surrounding some 50 terrorists trapped in tunnels and cutting off supply attempts. On Thursday, the tunnels were destroyed in a massive explosion. According to the commander of the Egoz unit, Lt. Col. M., dozens of terrorists were eliminated during the operation.
At the heart of the underground infrastructure, forces exposed a sprawling command center built over two decades with Iranian funding and planning. Maj. D., a Yahalom company commander, described it as Hezbollah's Kirya, noting that forces retrieved all strategic assets and combat gear prepared for doomsday. The terrorists refused to give up these critical assets from which they directed combat operations.
Siege, Drones, and Tunnel Demolition
As the operation progressed, forces mapped shafts and advanced step-by-step through the booby-trapped underground network. Troops established full dominance above ground, effectively hunting the trapped operatives. When forces discovered that Hezbollah was attempting to supply the trapped militants using drones, they tightened the siege completely, comparing the tactical standoff to a game of chess.

On Thursday, the tunnels were finally demolished in a massive detonation. Egoz commander Lt. Col. M. stated that dozens of terrorists were eliminated in the operation, praising the simplicity, sophistication, and determination of the troops.
IDF Chief of Staff Inspects Division 91
IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir visited Division 91 to conduct a situational assessment and approve defense concepts for the sector. During his visit, advanced robotic capabilities and weaponry were showcased, with Zamir announcing the upcoming launch of a dedicated robotics branch operating across air, sea, and land.
Addressing the Lebanese government and military, Zamir stressed that the IDF is determined to demilitarize the area south of the Litani River from Hezbollah presence. He emphasized that progress cannot be made under any desired agreement with the Lebanese government unless the Lebanese military significantly improves its operational effectiveness on the ground.
