Arkia Expands New York Route with New Wide-Body Airbus
Arkia has expanded its long-haul fleet by adding an Airbus A330-300 to serve the Tel Aviv-New York route, following Israir's recent entry into the market.
Arkia is expanding its long-haul operations by adding a new wide-body aircraft to its fleet, which officially entered service and operated its maiden flight on the Tel Aviv to New York route.
The newly introduced Airbus A330-300, an eight-year-old wide-body jet, will primarily serve the New York route. It joins an existing A330-200 in Arkia's fleet, increasing the airline's capacity for long-haul destinations in North America.
The aircraft features 245 seats across two classes: 45 in business class and 200 in economy. Painted in Arkia's livery, the plane supports the company's growing presence on transatlantic routes.
This expansion follows Israir's recent launch of flights to New York, intensifying competition on the popular route frequently traveled by Israeli passengers.
