Gush Etzion

Families who purchased apartments in a project in the settlement of Tekoa in Gush Etzion, and expected to move into their homes by the summer of 2024, were forced to wait about a year and a half, and sometimes two additional years, until their apartment was delivered to them.

Reserve soldiers from the 8553rd Battalion operating at the base report an ongoing hazard: "There are allergic people here and the injector is not accessible," a female soldier at the base told N12. The army claims they have set traps and are trying to locate the nest, but the problem persists on the ground.

The Ma'ale Arugot settlement was officially inaugurated at an event attended by ministers, Knesset members, settlement leaders, and residents. The settlement is located at a point connecting the west of Gush Etzion to its east, and the regional council defines its establishment as a significant move to connect the parts of the bloc.

An additional 370 dunams have been declared state land, bringing the total area allocated for the city of Mishmar Yehuda to 3,750 dunams. Minister Bezalel Smotrich stated that the move will provide a solution to the housing crisis for tens of thousands of young couples.

Settlers hiking in the area claimed they were attacked by Palestinians and that a security coordinator who was called to the scene was hit by a rock thrown at his head. Conversely, the other side claims that a young Palestinian was shot and that a house was set on fire by the group. Security forces were called to the scene - the circumstances of the incident are under investigation.

A week after the terror attack in Samaria that claimed the lives of Binyamin Malet and Yuval Ezra, another weapon seizure attempt occurred in Judea and Samaria. IDF forces opened fire on the terrorist; no casualties were reported among the troops.
