UK to Deploy Typhoon Fighter Jets to Saudi Arabia Amid Houthi Threat
The UK Ministry of Defense confirmed it will deploy RAF Typhoon jets to Saudi Arabia to protect infrastructure from Houthi attacks, as regional escalation drives oil prices up.

The British Ministry of Defense confirmed on Tuesday that the United Kingdom will deploy Royal Air Force Typhoon fighter jets for defensive missions in Saudi Arabia to help protect cities and critical infrastructure from Houthi airstrikes, confirming an earlier Bloomberg report.
According to the report, citing British officials familiar with the matter, the UK will also provide an Atlas A400M military transport aircraft and military advisers alongside the fighter jets. The move comes amid an increase in Houthi attacks against Saudi Arabia in recent weeks.
In September, the UK announced it would grant Saudi Arabia additional defensive military aid following the resumption of attacks by the Houthis. Meanwhile, oil prices surged on Tuesday, with Brent crude rising by about 1.8% to roughly $111 a barrel, nearing a five-month high, amid escalating regional tensions.
