Veteran Reshet 13 Anchor Eli Rachlin Fights Dismissal in Labor Court
Veteran anchor Eli Rachlin is leaving Reshet 13 after over 20 years amid massive layoffs by new owner Assaf Rappaport. Rachlin plans to challenge his dismissal in labor court.

A major shakeup continues at the Reshet 13 news division as veteran editor and anchor Eli Rachlin is set to leave the company after more than 20 years. New channel owner Assaf Rappaport is continuing to restructure the network amid a significant wave of layoffs following his recent acquisition.
Rachlin received formal notice of his dismissal in recent days, but he does not intend to accept the decision. According to a report published on Thursday by Mako, he has decided to turn to the labor court to block the termination.
Rachlin joined the Channel 10 news team back in 2003, eventually becoming one of the most recognized and familiar faces of the network. Throughout his career, he has anchored and edited numerous broadcasts, including "News of the Day", "Friday Morning World", and major newsflashes.
His departure comes at a sensitive time, closely following the final approval of the transfer of control of Reshet 13 to the investor group led by Assaf Rappaport and Yinon Costica. Reshet 13 management stated: "Reshet 13 would like to thank Eli Rachlin for his years of joint work and wishes him success in the future." Rachlin's response has not yet been received.
