Asaf Granit has long been more than just a chef. Over the years, he has transcended the boundaries of the kitchen to become a well-known figure on television, social media, the fashion world, and beyond.

Now, with his venture into the fast-food world, he has encountered a less positive situation as many customers were left disappointed, having traveled specifically to Jerusalem only to find his coveted shawarma sold out.

Many Israelis have visited "HaPita," the new shawarma spot by Asaf Granit and the Machneyuda group, in recent days, but not everyone managed to enjoy the dish. The reason is not long lines, but a strictly limited supply—only about 100 pitas are available daily, selling out to those who arrive early.

Facing backlash from disappointed diners, Granit took to his Instagram account to explain the situation, opening with a sincere apology:

"Sorry again. Eliezer, the cook from the Machneyuda group who is also responsible for the new shawarma, works hard on preparing the meat: one day he seasons, the next day he marinates, the next day he builds the spit, and only the following day is it ready."

He further explained that the meticulous preparation process is why the quantity is currently limited. "That is the reason why the spit looks a bit small to everyone, even though it is not. We promise to increase production the very second Eliezer is satisfied," he wrote.

Until the supply increases, Granit recommends that customers arrive early and bring patience. "Until then, come early, come with patience, and remember that a kebab pita beats everything!!!" the chef concluded.
