The Hit Drama Series The Cook Returns for Season Three
The hit Israeli drama series The Cook returns for its third season on November 10, exploring the wartime reality and culinary struggles in Tel Aviv.

The acclaimed drama series The Cook (Ha-Tevah) is returning for its third season, premiering on November 10 on yes TV DRAMA and the yes VOD service. Created, written, and directed by Erez Koppel and produced by Kastina Communications, the new season plunges viewers straight into wartime Tel Aviv.
Wartime Realities and New Beginnings
Set a year and a half after the October 7 events, the plot reflects the severe economic and emotional crisis gripping the Israeli restaurant industry. The series continues to follow Dori, played by Gal Toren, and Nimrod, played by Guri Alfi Aharon, as they navigate the complex reality of the period.
Dori seizes an opportunity to take over an old, bankrupt wine bar whose owner owes him money. Initially hesitant, Nimrod eventually settles in and takes charge of the venue. The bar quickly gains momentum, filling up every night with people seeking relief, accompanied by delicious food.
Rising Tensions and New Faces
When Dori gets into trouble and temporarily steps away, Nimrod takes full command of the kitchen, leading to an inevitable clash between the two old friends. Alongside the main cast, model Michal Harudi has been cast in the upcoming season.
"The third season captures the exact tension between running a profitable wine bar and keeping your head above water during a time when everyone just wants a place to escape."
Dana Frider, who starred in the second season, will not return due to planned plot developments. Meanwhile, the culinary sector continues to face severe challenges, including rising prices and labor shortages, making bars not just businesses, but essential spaces for escapism.
