The Samaria Regional Council reported that over 25,000 students began the school year this Tuesday. The education system, which includes 28 elementary schools, 11 high schools, and 168 kindergartens, welcomed 1,440 first-graders. This year, the council is opening four new high schools and eight kindergartens, six of which were established in new settlements in northern Samaria.

The Samaria Regional Council has announced the opening of a religious technological high school for girls in Havat Yair, serving students in grades 9 through 12. Managed by the AMIT network, the school will initially operate in Ba'alei Zahav before moving to its permanent location in Havat Yair.

An historic milestone was marked on Thursday in northern Samaria as the first families moved into the community of Kadim, which was uprooted 21 years ago. About 30 families have settled in the renewed community, accompanied by Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and Samaria Regional Council Head Yossi Dagan.

Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan responded to the attempted assassination of Defense Minister Israel Katz during the Ganim settlement ceremony: 'The enemy understands that the return to northern Samaria is changing the reality. We will establish even more settlements.'

Minister of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism Amichai Shikli toured northern Samaria with Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan. They visited Homesh and the new settlement of Emek Dotan, where the Israeli flag is once again flying over the ancient fortress.

Emek Dotan, the first new settlement being established in the area that did not exist before the disengagement, began its occupancy phase this morning. Its establishment is being carried out about a year after the cabinet's decision. Later today, a groundbreaking ceremony will be held with the participation of ministers and Knesset members.

A mother and her son from Samaria accidentally drove into Jenin, where their car was surrounded and pelted with stones. They managed to escape to the Gilboa crossing unharmed.

At a moving event held at the Begin Heritage Center in Jerusalem, Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan received the "Brave Leadership of Zion Award." The honor recognizes his steadfast commitment to the establishment and renewal of settlements in northern Samaria.

Two years after the repeal of the Disengagement Law, the Kadim settlement in northern Samaria is being rebuilt. Infrastructure for the initial settlement phase is complete, and a core group of families from Tel Aviv and Gush Dan is expected to move in within the coming weeks.

Dozens of residential structures have been placed in the new settlement of Emek Dotan. With their placement and the progress of development works, the various parties are now preparing for the first families to move in.
