Israeli Teen Recounts Terrorist Struggle Before IDF Eliminates Attacker
Netanel Jacobs, 19, survived a stabbing attack at Maoz Yehuda farm in Samaria. The Palestinian assailant was later tracked down and eliminated by IDF soldiers in Qabalan.
Netanel Jacobs, a 19-year-old Israeli who was moderately to seriously wounded in a stabbing attack in Samaria on Monday morning, recounted the moments of terror from his bed at Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva. Jacobs described fighting off the Palestinian assailant, who entered the Maoz Yehuda farm near the village of Osarin and stabbed him multiple times.
The Struggle and Escape
Jacobs detailed the physical confrontation with the attacker, explaining how he fought back despite sustaining severe wounds to his head, neck, and hand.
"I fought with him, I chased him with a stone, and then I saw that I was covered in blood and had stab wounds in my head, neck, and hand. I punched him, I pushed him, and he fell to the floor with me. We were both lying on the ground. I tried to pick up a stone to throw at his head but couldn't reach it. He had his knife, which broke, leaving only the blade, and he tried to keep stabbing me with it. I reached him, choked him, and then he managed to escape toward his car."
MDA medical teams provided initial life-saving treatment at the scene before evacuating Jacobs to Beilinson Hospital, where his condition was later stabilized.
IDF Eliminates the Terrorist
Following the attack, the assailant fled the scene. Approximately one hour later, soldiers from the IDF's 411th Artillery Battalion located the suspect in the village of Qabalan in Samaria.
During searches inside a residential building, the terrorist attempted to stab the soldiers at point-blank range. The company commander immediately opened fire and neutralized the assailant.
Family and Leadership Reactions
Avdiel and Pnena Jacobs, the victim's parents, expressed gratitude for their son's survival while calling for a harsher military response against hostile villages.
"We thank the Creator of the universe. Our son Netanel was reborn today. His condition is now stable, but without his bravery and miracles, this could have easily ended differently. The IDF and state leaders must wake up and take a truly hard line against every village from which a terrorist emerges."
Yossi Dagan, head of the Samaria Regional Council, condemned the attack and demanded a full military blockade in the area, calling on security forces to conduct house-to-house searches to confiscate illegal weapons and dismantle terror infrastructure.
