Southern Command Chief Major General Yaniv Asur has rejected all requests for sentence commutation submitted by Givati soldiers following the Sde Teiman incident. Attorney Zahava Gur, representing the soldiers, argued that their complex personal and family circumstances were not adequately considered during the initial proceedings.

"These are Western solutions that do not fit the Islam of the Middle East, which has not abandoned the idea of the uprising," a security source clarified. According to him, Hamas is establishing its rule in the Strip detached from the statements in the media. "It has received another year of stalling for time in which it will be able to restore its capabilities - this is a heavy blow," he warned.
