The CEO of the Peace Council shed light on behind-the-scenes contacts to promote the Trump plan. According to him, an agreement was reached with the Prime Minister on the process of handing over weapons and establishing monitoring mechanisms. Alongside criticism of Israel, he clarified that Hamas is required to hand over all types of weapons: "without any gray area."

In a joint statement, the foreign ministers of eight Muslim countries accused Israel of rejecting the Trump plan and the establishment of a Palestinian state. They held Israel fully responsible for disrupting peace efforts and called on the US to ensure compliance with the roadmap, including the deployment of international stabilization forces in Gaza.

After Benjamin Netanyahu rejected the 15-point plan, Jared Kushner will arrive in the region with Tony Blair and Nickolay Mladenov to bridge the gaps. The Gaza Peace Council stated: "We will hear the concerns and discuss next steps; the US and Israel agree on the end state—a dismantled Hamas."

However, in the Council tasked with managing the Strip, they told Ynet: "It would have been better for Israel if its announcements matched its actual actions; it would have enjoyed the political advantage of complying with the agreement."

The US President recently announced an ambitious agreement to settle the future of the Gaza Strip, but the gaps between Israel's demands and Hamas's position remain deep. The issues of demilitarization, the withdrawal of the IDF, and control on the 'day after' raise the question of whether Trump is once again putting the cart before the horse.

Washington has committed directly to Hamas not to allow Netanyahu to sabotage the agreement and that it will compel him to withdraw from the Gaza Strip and implement it. It was further claimed that the US informed the terrorist organization that it would not abandon the agreement and that it is a guarantor for it.
