Bigamy

A Chinese man held his wedding downstairs and a baby celebration with another woman upstairs on the same day, sparking a police intervention and an online debate over bigamy.

A Las Vegas court convicted 34-year-old Jia-Ying Chen of marrying 14 men in a massive fraud scheme to fund her casino gambling addiction, sentencing her to probation and restitution.

An indictment was filed against a resident of the Tel Arad area who married a minor illegally, beat her during her pregnancy, and broke her phone when she tried to call for help. Her father is accused of facilitating the marriage. In a separate case, a Rahat resident is accused of bigamy.
