Google Introduces Motion Assist Feature to Prevent Car Sickness
Google has introduced Motion Assist to prevent motion sickness caused by using smartphones in cars. The feature helps synchronize visual and physical senses for passengers.

Car sickness while looking at a smartphone in the backseat is a common problem caused by a sensory mismatch between the eyes and the body. While the inner ear feels motion, the stationary screen fools the brain, triggering dizziness and nausea.
Google has introduced the Motion Assist feature to combat this issue. To enable it, users open device settings, navigate to profile services under personal and device safety, and activate Motion Assist, or simply search for it in the settings bar.
To ensure reliable activation since sensors may not always automatically detect a vehicle ride, Google recommends adding a shortcut to the quick settings panel. This allows passengers to toggle the feature with a single tap.
Note that this function is strictly intended for passengers. Drivers must always keep their eyes on the road.
