Dr. Yosef Zvi Tschviner, Ichilov Hospital Physician, Passes Away at 54
Dr. Yosef Zvi Tschviner, deputy head of Internal Medicine B at Ichilov Hospital and a fourth-generation physician, has passed away. He trained hundreds of doctors and was honored as one of Israel's top physicians in 2022.

Dr. Yosef Zvi Tschviner, deputy head of the internal medicine department at Ichilov Hospital and a fourth-generation physician, has passed away.
Dr. Tschviner dedicated his entire professional life to Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (Ichilov), starting as an intern and rising through the ranks to become deputy head of Internal Medicine Department B. Over decades of service, he trained hundreds of doctors who went on to contribute to Israeli medicine.
Coming from a distinguished medical lineage as a fourth-generation physician and the son of a doctor, Dr. Tschviner was also the grandson of a Holocaust survivor. In 2022, his dedication was nationally recognized when he was chosen as one of Israel's leading physicians in a special project by ice and the Israel Medical Association.
Outside of his demanding medical career, Dr. Tschviner was a devoted family man with a deep passion for music and football. Ichilov Hospital mourned his passing, releasing a statement expressing profound sorrow and sending condolences to his grieving family, friends, and colleagues.
