Nova Festival Survivor Yuval Raphael Shares Emotional Reflection on Recovery
Ahead of her memorial performance, Nova festival survivor Yuval Raphael shared an emotional Instagram post reflecting on her three-year recovery journey, the ongoing national trauma, and her path back to life.

Ahead of her performance at the annual memorial ceremony for the victims of the Nova party in Re'im, Yuval Raphael shared footage on Instagram from the morning of October 7 and reflected on her ongoing recovery journey. Three years later, Raphael wrote that she is returning to the exact place where she was born again, noting that the land is still bleeding and expressing the profound dissonance she has carried since the tragedy.
Raphael shared that her followers only came to know her after a year and a half of completely stepping away from life as she once knew it. She described spending that period relearning her soul and focusing entirely on healing, emphasizing that everyone has had to learn how to step outside, feel safe, and dream all over again.
Detailing her return to routine without sugarcoating the process, Raphael explained that for a long time, her sole goal was waking up and brushing her teeth. She noted that every day she managed to take that small step felt like a victory, while all other ambitions were put aside until her mind felt strong enough.
Concluding her heartfelt message, Raphael thanked the people who proved to her that goodness still exists in the world and praised the resilience of the nation. She dedicated a final message to the victims and their families, vowing that they will continue to choose life, love, and hope in honor of those lost.
