Israeli Water Skiers Win Three Medals at World Championship
The Israeli water ski delegation won three medals at the World Championship in the Netherlands, highlighted by Yam Lev's silver and Moshiko Zadka's bronze in senior slalom.
The Israeli delegation kicked off the new year with an impressive performance at the World Water Ski Championship in the Netherlands, capturing three medals in the slalom events.
Slalom Success for Senior and Junior Skiers
Yam Lev claimed the silver medal in the men's senior slalom final, securing second place with a score of three buoys at a speed of 58 km/h using a 9.75-meter rope. Veteran Moshiko Zadka joined him on the podium, taking the bronze medal with five buoys at 58 km/h and a 10.25-meter rope. In the under-19 slalom competition, Eliav Shemer added a bronze medal to Israel's tally after scoring 2.25 buoys at 58 km/h with an 11.25-meter rope. Gregory Dobgevich finished seventh in the senior final, while the delegation looks ahead to more finals.
Looking Forward to More Medals
"Two medals, silver and bronze, at the senior world championship and another medal under-19 – we couldn't ask for more than this," said Maoz Tal, CEO of the Water Ski Association. "Our team has once again proven Israel's superiority in global slalom."
Competition continues tomorrow with Olga Trevagina in the women's tricks final and Liza Dobgevich in the women's jump final.
