Underground Tunnel and Weapons Cache Uncovered Near Qalqilya
Security forces uncovered a 25-meter-deep tunnel under construction in Qalqilya, near the Green Line, alongside weapons and explosives. Four suspects were arrested.
A 25-meter-deep underground tunnel under construction was uncovered in Qalqilya during a joint operation by the Samaria Crime Fighting Unit and Israel Border Police. Located just a few kilometers from Kfar Saba and major transport arteries, the site also contained the beginnings of a second excavation.
During a meticulous search of the compound, security forces seized a sniper rifle, an M16 automatic rifle, ammunition magazines, and fertilizer bags used for explosive devices. Four suspects were arrested at the scene and taken in for police interrogation.
Police emphasized that security forces will continue proactive operations to uncover underground infrastructure and weaponry in the Samaria region, targeting those involved to ensure they face justice.
