Indictment Expected Against Foreign National for Tel Aviv Stabbing
An indictment will soon be filed against a 57-year-old foreign national suspected of a serious stabbing on Doron Street in southern Tel Aviv last week.
An indictment is expected to be filed in the coming days against a foreign national suspected of a stabbing incident that occurred in southern Tel Aviv last week, the Israel Police announced on Tuesday.
On August 30, a report was received regarding a stabbing incident on Doron Street in the city. A person sustained upper body injuries in the incident and was evacuated for medical treatment, with medical personnel defining their condition as serious.
Officers from the Tel Aviv South police station arrived at the scene and began collecting evidence, ultimately arresting the suspect following an attempt to flee from the police. During his escape, he also discarded a knife, which is suspected to have been used during the act.
The 57-year-old suspect was transferred for questioning at the Tel Aviv South station, and the knife that was located was seized. The suspect's remand was extended from time to time, and this morning, once an evidentiary foundation was established against him, a prosecutor's statement was received from the State Attorney's Office ahead of filing a severe indictment against the suspect along with a request to detain him until the conclusion of legal proceedings.
