Complainant in Eyal Golan Case Threatens Rapper Ron Nesher With Defamation Lawsuit
Taisia Zamolotsky, a key complainant in the "Social Games" affair, has threatened rapper Ron Nesher with a defamation lawsuit over implied extortion claims made in a recent podcast interview.
The high-profile "Social Games" affair, which has gripped the Israeli public for years, continues to generate legal drama outside the courtroom. Taisia Zamolotsky, one of the prominent complainants and leaders of the public campaign in the affair, is threatening legal action against Israeli rapper and songwriter Ron Nesher. Through her attorney, Ohad Shamir, Zamolotsky has sent a formal warning letter prior to filing a defamation lawsuit, demanding a clear and public clarification within 72 hours.
The controversy erupted following an interview Nesher gave on a podcast hosted by Moshe Fabrikant, which was widely shared across social media platforms. Nesher, who had spent years fiercely criticizing singer Eyal Golan, made a surprising about-face during the interview. He claimed he had been wrong about Golan after the singer personally showed him private materials from his mobile phone.
Accusations of Extortion and Implied Identity
During the podcast, the rapper referred to a specific woman using highly offensive terms. He claimed he was shown receipts of demands for hundreds of thousands of shekels in exchange for retracting allegations, creating the distinct impression of an extortion attempt.
Although Zamolotsky's name was not explicitly mentioned during the episode, the warning letter argues that the implied identification was unmistakable. Given her prominent public role in the affair and her leadership in protests against Golan's concerts, many viewers immediately linked Nesher's remarks to her, resulting in a wave of abusive online comments directed at her.
Demands for Public Clarification
In the warning letter, Nesher is demanded to publicly clarify that his statements did not refer to Zamolotsky and that she has never attempted to extort Golan. Furthermore, her attorney raised serious questions regarding the nature of the materials Golan allegedly showed Nesher and the legality of exposing them.
Attorney Ohad Shamir emphasized the critical importance of protecting victims of sexual offenses from inflammatory public discourse, stating:
"We will not allow a complainant to be targeted through insinuations, character assassination, and the attribution of improper financial motives."
This legal clash occurs against the backdrop of recent developments in the case, after the State Attorney's Office ordered supplementary investigation steps following appeals filed by the complainants, and amid an ongoing civil lawsuit between Zamolotsky and Golan.
