Prominent Educator and Social Activist Ofra Zaidman Passes Away
Prominent educator and social activist Ofra Zaidman has passed away. She dedicated her life to social justice, education equality, and philanthropy in Israel.

Ofra Zaidman (Kochavi-Zaidman), a prominent educator and social activist, passed away. Her funeral will be held today at the Yarkon Cemetery (Shaar HaHesed).
Zaidman served as chairwoman of the board of directors of the "Kedma" association, which works to promote equality and social justice in the education system, focusing on geographical and social peripheries. She also led major philanthropic bodies, serving as CEO of the ISEF Foundation and the Safra Family Scholarship Fund, and acted as chair of the education committee for the southeast district of the Tel Aviv-Yafo municipality.
Journalist and social activist Hanna Kim eulogized her, recalling their long conversations on social justice and the struggle against discrimination. Zaidman's family will sit shiva at her home in Tel Aviv following the conclusion of the Simchat Torah holiday.
