Israeli Airlines Launch Emergency Dubai Rescue Flights for Stranded Citizens
Israeli airlines Arkia and Israir are launching rescue flights from Dubai to bring back stranded citizens after Emirati flights were suspended following a security incident over Jordan.

Following an unusual security incident in Jordanian airspace, current efforts are focused on returning stranded Israeli citizens from the United Arab Emirates back to Israel as quickly as possible. After flights operated by Emirati airlines to Israel were suspended pending the completion of an investigation, Israeli carriers—previously barred from operating on this route—are preparing rescue operations.
Arkia airline announced this morning (Friday) that it has received all necessary approvals to operate flights from Dubai, with the first rescue operation scheduled for today. An additional flight will depart tomorrow, and the company stated it is working to launch three more flights over the weekend beyond those already planned.
Arkia joins Israir, owned by businessman Rami Levy, which has also received required approvals from Dubai International Airport to conduct a rescue flight. However, ticket sales have not yet opened on the website, as Israir awaits final clearance from all relevant authorities. Concurrently, Israir is preparing for another flight from Dubai after the holiday.
El Al remains behind at this stage, reporting this morning that its scheduled flights have not received operational clearance and have been canceled. El Al stated that rescue flights are planned for next week on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
