Nazareth Men Arrested Over Drugs and Grenade Hidden Near Baby Stroller
Two Nazareth residents were arrested after police found drugs and a fragmentation grenade hidden under a baby stroller in a car during a raid on a rental cabin.
Two young residents of Nazareth, aged 23 and 28, were arrested after dozens of portions of cocaine and hashish, along with a fragmentation grenade hidden beneath a baby stroller inside a car, were discovered during a police raid on a rental cabin. Police are expected to request an extension of their detention at the Magistrate Court in Nof HaGalil-Nazareth.
Officers raided the cabin where the two suspects were staying following intelligence regarding the possession of illegal weapons. During the search, officers found numerous drug portions and a car key belonging to a vehicle parked outside. Upon searching the car, they identified a bag hidden beneath a baby stroller containing a fragmentation grenade and dozens of rounds of ammunition.
In a separate incident last week, two suspects—including an illegal resident—were arrested in the Shefa-Amr area on suspicion of possessing a Matador missile stolen from the IDF. The unusual weapon was seized during targeted operations by Northern District police, Yasam officers, and border units. The suspects were transferred for interrogation by the Galilee central unit.
