Israel Faces Extreme Heatwave With Temperatures Soaring Across the Country
Israel faces extreme heatwaves with temperatures reaching up to 41 degrees in Eilat and heavy heat stress across the country. Meteorological warnings are in effect.

Israel is experiencing unseasonably hot weather with heavy heat stress and exceptionally high temperatures across the country.
In response to these extreme conditions, the Israel Meteorological Service has issued warnings for extreme temperatures in the Gush Dan region, the Gulf of Eilat, and the southern Arava. The warnings remain in effect from morning until evening.
On Tuesday, temperature gauges show sharp increases. Tel Aviv is expected to reach around 33 degrees Celsius, while Jerusalem will record about 31 degrees. In hotter regions such as Tiberias and Eilat, temperatures will surge to approximately 38 and 41 degrees, respectively. Due to heavy heat loads, there is a real risk of dehydration and heatstroke during prolonged outdoor exposure, particularly during midday hours.
Wednesday will not bring significant relief. Hot weather will continue in Tel Aviv and surrounding areas with about 33 degrees, Tiberias will see around 38 degrees, and Eilat will reach approximately 41 degrees. Jerusalem will experience a slight temperature rise during the day, climbing to about 32 degrees.
On Thursday, a slight drop in temperatures will be felt in some areas, though the weather will remain hot and oppressive. Jerusalem is expected to reach around 30 degrees, Tel Aviv 32 degrees, Tiberias 37 degrees, and Eilat 40 degrees. A cooling trend will begin over the weekend: on Friday and Saturday, temperatures will drop to around 27 degrees, with further cooling expected on Sunday, bringing daytime temperatures down to just 19 degrees.
Due to the extreme weather conditions expected in the coming days, the public is urged to exercise caution, avoid prolonged sun exposure, and stay well hydrated. Special vigilance should be maintained regarding vulnerable populations, including children, the elderly, and those with chronic illnesses.
