As the Hanukkah holiday approaches, Israeli bakery chain "Maafe Neeman" has announced it will completely freeze the prices of its sufganiyot (hanukkah doughnuts) for the 2026 holiday season, absorbing rising production and raw material costs in full.

Operating 78 branches across the country from north to south, the chain is launching its holiday collection while keeping base prices accessible despite significant increases in flour and ingredient costs. A classic strawberry jam sufganiyah will sell for 6 NIS, while a dulce de leche-filled version will cost 8 NIS. Premium varieties are priced at 14 NIS per unit.

In addition to traditional doughnuts, the chain offers Moroccan sfinge coated in sugar for 10 NIS, alongside a wide range of donuts featuring pistachio, lotus, and oreo flavors priced at 12 NIS each or two for 20 NIS.

Drawing inspiration from high-end patisserie and contemporary culinary trends, the new collection highlights the "Dubai Double Crunch" sufganiyah featuring rich pistachio cream, crispy kadaif dough, and milk chocolate, alongside the "Oriana" filled with Oreo cream.

The premium lineup also includes the pink princess coated in white chocolate, rose vanilla with pastry cream and raspberry touches, and a bamba-red crunch variety. Co-owner and chief recipe developer Mimi Neeman Shaik noted that absorbing raw material price hikes allows Israeli families to enjoy a sweet holiday without additional financial strain.
