Tower Semiconductor reported strong third-quarter results, surpassing analyst expectations for both revenue and net profit, and provided an upbeat fourth-quarter outlook. The chipmaker expects fourth-quarter revenue to reach $600 million, marking a 36% year-over-year increase and bringing full-year 2026 revenue to approximately $2 billion, a 27.7% growth compared to the previous year.

The company's primary growth engine, silicon photonics (SiPho), is projected to hit an annual revenue run rate of $1.1 billion, five times higher than the total for 2025. Earlier this year, Tower secured $1.3 billion in supply contracts for this technology through 2027 and subsequently expanded its manufacturing capacity in Japan to support production.

Strong Q3 Financial Performance

In the third quarter, Tower's revenue grew 33% to $526 million, beating the consensus estimate of $522 million. The company reported an adjusted net profit of $1.15 per share, topping analyst expectations by 8 cents. Cash flow from operating activities reached $185 million, while net capital expenditures totaled $191 million.

Commenting on the results, CEO Russell Ellwanger stated:

"We are entering the strongest growth phase in the company's history. Based on our Q4 sales guidance, we expect to close 2026 with $2 billion in annual revenue and an annualized sales run rate of $2.4 billion."

Ellwanger added that sustained demand for silicon photonics and silicon germanium (SiGe) technologies is driving exceptional growth in high-speed connectivity operations. Tower is traded on Nasdaq and the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange with a market capitalization of $18.9 billion.
