USA to invest tens of billions to accelerate production of long-range missiles

The Pentagon announced on Monday the signing of a $22.9 billion contract with Raytheon to accelerate the production of Tomahawk missiles. This is a critical weapon for long-range strikes, capable of reaching targets up to 2,400 kilometers away. This capability allows for strikes against Iran from almost any American base in the Middle East.

Acting Secretary of the Navy, Hong Cao, stated:

"We have ensured that our Navy and joint forces have the lethal firepower necessary to deter aggression and defend the homeland. This historic $22.9 billion investment will accelerate the delivery of Tomahawk missiles to our warfighters at an unprecedented pace. By working closely with industry to expand our munitions production base, the department is using every tool available to meet current operational requirements and ensure our forces are equipped to fight, win, and return home safely."

This acquisition coincides with President Donald Trump's statement that the USA is conducting secret negotiations with the Revolutionary Guards. The organization was quick to deny this, claiming it is not aware of any secret contacts with the Americans.
