Israeli Defense Industries Rank Among Global Leaders

Israeli defense companies continue to establish their status on the global stage: Elbit Systems, Israel Aerospace Industries, and Rafael have entered the top 30 in the ranking of the 100 largest defense companies in the world, as published today, Tuesday, by the American magazine 'Defense News'.

Elbit Systems announced the signing of contracts totaling approximately $270 million, to be executed over a period of up to six years. As part of the deal, the company will provide advanced intelligence, surveillance, and target acquisition systems from the SPECTRO family, which include AI technologies. In addition, Elbit will supply AMPS NG systems for aerial intelligence missions. The company reaches this deal with a record backlog of $32 billion as of the end of the second quarter.

Rafael has also been included in the list of the 30 largest defense companies in the world, moving up from its 31st position last year. It now joins its 'sisters' Elbit, ranked 21st, and Israel Aerospace Industries, ranked 27th. In terms of country rankings, Israel holds third place, trailing only the USA and China.

The combined annual defense revenue of these three companies exceeds $20 billion, positioning Israel as a small but highly influential defense power. For context, the American defense giant Lockheed Martin leads the global ranking with revenues of approximately $72 billion.
