Stun Grenade Found at Kfar Shmaryahu Estate as Tel Aviv Police Arrest Fugitive

A dramatic incident unfolded in the affluent town of Kfar Shmaryahu after sappers and police officers from the Glilot station were urgently dispatched following a report of a suspicious object on the street. Near the entrance gate to the private residence of a prominent real estate businessman, an unexploded stun grenade was discovered.
Preliminary checks by Tel Aviv District sappers who arrived at the scene indicate that the item is a military-grade IDF stun grenade. Security forces immediately cordoned off the area, began collecting forensic evidence, and launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident. Fortunately, the event ended without casualties and with no property damage. Police are currently investigating whether there is a direct connection between the item and the property owner, with the investigation proceeding along a criminal track.
Simultaneously, police have registered a significant investigative breakthrough in the ongoing fight against illegal weaponry and violent crime in the Dan region. The Central Unit (Yamar) of the Tel Aviv District arrested a 33-year-old suspect this week who had been evading police since last May. The suspect is linked to a criminal gang responsible for a series of serious offenses in the central region, and indictments have already been filed against three of its members.
According to the investigation, the apprehended suspect is believed to have hurled a grenade at a business in Or Yehuda, a severe incident that left five civilians injured to varying degrees. Following a major investigative breakthrough over the weekend, police raided his hideout and effected his arrest.
