Italian Fighter Jet Damaged in Strike on Saudi Air Base

An Italian Eurofighter F-2000 fighter jet was damaged in a strike on the Taif Air Base in Saudi Arabia, also known as King Fahd Air Base, Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto announced on Friday.
The strike occurred overnight between Thursday and Friday, damaging the parked Italian aircraft in a remote area of the base. According to Crosetto, no injuries were reported among the Italian military personnel stationed at the facility, and no additional damage was caused to their equipment or infrastructure.
The Italian Defense Minister stated that he monitored developments overnight alongside the Chief of Defense, General Luciano Portolano, amid a series of attacks targeting the location.
Following the incident, Crosetto requested the senior military command to reassess regional developments, the status of forces, and Italy's operational options.
Meanwhile, Italy's Five Star Movement demanded that the defense minister appear before parliament to explain the risks facing approximately 400 Italian Air Force personnel stationed at the base, noting they had previously warned of potential attacks.
