Iran is rapidly advancing the reconstruction of the "Taleghan 2" facility at the Parchin military complex, which is linked to its nuclear weapons project, according to a report published on Thursday by the Institute for Science and International Security (ISIS). According to satellite imagery from September 13, the Iranians deployed a tarp over the buried and damaged structure to conceal the ongoing work beneath it.
Reconstruction of the Parchin Facility
The Parchin complex, located about 30 kilometers southeast of Tehran, is identified with the "weapons group" in the Iranian nuclear project, and "Taleghan 2" is its central facility. According to western estimates, explosive tests were conducted there as part of the "Amad Project," the secret nuclear weapons program that Iran allegedly halted in 2003, as well as work on the bomb's trigger mechanism and the design of the uranium core.

Underground Tunnel Developments
Concurrently, the Institute updated on Thursday that at the "Magic Mountain," the underground tunnel complex near Natanz, dirt mounds are still blocking vehicle access to the western tunnel openings. According to satellite imagery from September 11, this access restriction reinforces the assessment that the facility is not currently active, but that valuable equipment or materials are stored within it.
