Almost one hundred ultra-Orthodox draft evaders held in military Prison 10 received a smuggled guide from the Am Kadosh organization instructing them on non-compliance and segregation.
Nearly one hundred ultra-Orthodox young men and avrechim arrested for draft evasion are currently held in military Prison 10. On Thursday morning, the Am Kadosh organization, known for its activism on behalf of ultra-Orthodox draft evaders, produced and smuggled a calendar and a customized "halachic booklet" into the prison.
Resistance and Directives Inside Prison
The booklet serves not only as a prayer schedule and calendar but also as a detailed organizational behavioral guide. It instructs the detainees on how to interact with the command staff, bypass orders, and maintain strict segregation while in custody.

The document includes a "Diary of Kiddush Hashem" meant for documenting prison experiences. It outlines strict rules regarding interaction with prison staff, instructing inmates not to trust commanders regarding kashrut and permitting standing for Shabbat roll calls under specific halachic pretexts.
Evasion of Military Regulations
The guide also advises inmates on navigating prison infrastructure without violating religious stringencies, such as avoiding the triggering of electronic gates and refusing guard duty in isolation wings due to automated doors.
