Israeli Stars Eden Hasson and Midad Tasa Attend Selichot at Western Wall
Pop stars Eden Hasson and Midad Tasa joined a wave of Israeli celebrities attending late-night Selichot prayers at the Western Wall in Jerusalem during the spiritual month of Elul.
A spiritual wave is sweeping Israel's entertainment industry during the month of Elul, bringing top stars to holy sites. On the eve of a pilgrimage to Uman led by Aviv Alush and Eliav Zohar, another moving moment took place in the heart of Jerusalem. Leading singers and creators Eden Hasson and Midad Tasa arrived at the Western Wall for a late-night Selichot prayer.
This emotional visit to the Western Wall represents a deeply personal full-circle moment for the two, whose friendship dates back to their high school days. Tasa burst onto the scene as a child prodigy in Judeo-Mediterranean music, while Hasson has grown into a massive phenomenon filling venues from Caesarea to Yarkon Park. Last July, they joined forces on the revealing single "Kuli Tefila" alongside the Pirchei Yerushalayim choir, which is celebrating 50 years, and now they are bringing that spiritual connection into reality.
In a video posted by Hasson to his Instagram account, the two were seen singing with devotion before the ancient stones, Hasson wearing a yarmulke with "Baba Sali" embroidered in gold. In a separate story, Hasson appeared alongside Mordechai Chasidim, known as the "rabbi to the stars," as he blew the shofar and moved those present. Among the videos on the famous rabbi's story, beloved comedian Zion Baruch and "Big Brother" reality star Gal Rubin were also spotted visiting the Old City.
