Hapoel Tel Aviv Travels to Bulgaria Ahead of EuroLeague Double Week
Hapoel Tel Aviv departed for Bulgaria on Tuesday ahead of a EuroLeague double week starting against Anadolu Efes, with coach Dimitris Itoudis highlighting their opponents' strength.

Hapoel Tel Aviv flew to Bulgaria on Tuesday to prepare for a demanding EuroLeague double week, starting with an away matchup against Anadolu Efes. Head coach Dimitris Itoudis addressed reporters at the airport before departure, emphasizing the high caliber of their upcoming opponents.
"We will face two very strong teams," Itoudis stated. "Anadolu Efes has shifted its identity. They had bad luck with Mike James, who is an exceptional individual, but they feature a deeply talented roster and a creative team combining experience with young players."
Itoudis added: "They push the pace, apply ball pressure, and play in various tactical ways. This is a formidable opponent that has proven its strength both at home and on the road." Commenting on Hapoel's perfect record so far in EuroLeague double weeks, the coach noted that the squad is in a positive position and playing strong basketball after recovering from an initial setback.
Forward Ish Wainright also touched upon the physical toll of the packed schedule, remarking that taking care of recovery is part of their professional routine. Hapoel aims to secure a finish in the top six while approaching every single fixture with a winning mindset.
