The largest mobile Israeli flag in the world, standing approximately 40 meters tall, has been raised at the Port of Haifa as part of an initiative aimed at strengthening national unity, belonging, and pride.

The flag, permanently housed at the Flag House in Kfar Shmaryahu, was recently submitted as a candidate for the Guinness World Records and is expected to receive official recognition as the world's largest mobile flag.

Bringing the flag from Kfar Shmaryahu to Haifa was made possible through a collaboration between the Haifa Municipality, the Port of Haifa, and the flag's owner, Boaz Hayun. This follows the flag's recent removal from Kfar Shmaryahu due to a legal dispute with the Herzliya Local Planning and Building Committee. The flag was raised near the Palmer Gate at the Port of Haifa, visible from many areas across the city, the bay, and passing ships.

Haifa Mayor Yona Yahav noted, "There is something symbolic and moving about the fact that, on the eve of the New Year, an Israeli flag is flying proudly over the Port of Haifa. Haifa has known difficult days in recent years, but we have remained upright, strong, and proud."
