Hadera Saleswoman Indicted for Stealing and Using Customer Credit Card Details
A Hadera saleswoman was indicted for saving a customer's credit card details after a physical store purchase and using them to fraudulently buy items.
Many people fear using their credit cards online due to potential data leaks, but financial theft can also happen during physical transactions in stores.
A criminal indictment has been filed at the Hadera Magistrates' Court by the prosecution branch of the Coastal District against a resident of Hadera who worked as a saleswoman at the "Renova" beauty and cosmetics store located in the "Mul HaHof Village" complex in Hadera.
According to the indictment, on August 31, 2025, a customer entered the shop and made a purchase using her credit card. After the customer left, the saleswoman saved her credit card details and used them the next day to make two purchases totaling hundreds of shekels.
The saleswoman is charged with using a payment method with intent to defraud. The indictment states: "The defendant carried out transactions using the credit card without the complainant's consent. Through these actions, the defendant utilized an essential component of a payment method with intent to defraud."
