During the live broadcast, Meroz decided to clarify the situation in advance to prevent rumors, announcing to viewers and his fellow panelists that he is going on a private vacation.

Meroz opened his remarks by clarifying to his studio colleagues and viewers at home: "I want to send a sweet and happy New Year blessing." Later, he clarified with a smile: "Tomorrow for a short trip, exactly two weeks, a crazy trip. I won't be here. Not because I was kicked out and not because I left."

Meroz added and detailed his planned travel route across Europe: "I'm starting in Oslo, from there to Scotland and Italy, a crazy trip I'm doing. So I won't be here for two weeks."
