Panathinaikos Owner Dreams of Bringing Nikola Jokić to Greece
Panathinaikos owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos revealed his ambitious dream to bring NBA superstar Nikola Jokić to the Greek club, while praising the historic return of coach Željko Obradović.

Dimitris Giannakopoulos continues to dream big. The owner of Panathinaikos spoke extensively with the Serbian outlet Mozzart Sport about his ultimate desire to see Nikola Jokić wear the Greek club's jersey.
"As far as I am concerned, I stopped watching the NBA the day Michael Jordan stopped bouncing a ball," Giannakopoulos said. "I started watching a bit again when Jokić arrived. I think he is one of the top ten players of all time."
Regarding the possibility of seeing the Serbian star in Athens, he added: "I would love to see him in a Panathinaikos shirt, and I am going to do everything I can to try to make that happen. Politics are complicated. I don't think it's a matter of the teams, but perhaps of the NBA not wanting to allow such a huge star to come here."
Giannakopoulos also addressed the historic return of Željko Obradović after a 14-year absence. "Inside, I always knew it would happen one day. It is destiny," he said. "I am very happy that it happened this year. I hope we achieve successful results, but as I also said at the press conference – for me, this season is already a success."
