Israeli Father Indicted for Serving Cannabis-Laced Cookies to His Children

An indictment has been filed against a father of three from the Shfela region, charging him with inducing a minor to use dangerous drugs. According to the indictment, the father hosted his three minor children—aged 17, 15, and 12—at his home along with several other guests.

During the gathering, in the presence of his children and the other guests, the defendant dripped a liquid containing cannabis, a dangerous drug, onto cookies. He then served the laced cookies to his children and the other attendees. Two of the defendant's children ate the cookies, while his daughter refused the offer.

Shortly after consuming the cookies, one of the sons, a 15-year-old boy, began to feel unwell. He suffered from severe dizziness and a sensation described as "floating," and subsequently fell asleep. Upon waking, his condition deteriorated, leading to vomiting and temporary memory loss. Due to the severe side effects, the teenager later sought urgent medical treatment and underwent a series of tests in an emergency room. The prosecution emphasizes in the indictment that the father knowingly provided a dangerous drug to a minor under his care and supervision, actively endangering his health.
