El Al Unveils Major Fleet Upgrades with Luxury Amenities and Starlink Internet
El Al Israel Airlines announced major inflight and digital upgrades, including new sleep gear with TAKEANAP, Jo Malone amenity kits, menus by chef Assaf Granit, and Starlink internet by 2027.

El Al Israel Airlines is rolling out a comprehensive upgrade to its inflight experience and digital services, aiming to provide passengers with a more personalized and comfortable journey. The enhancements will be gradually introduced across the airline's fleet starting in November, depending on the flight route.
Sleep and Comfort Upgrades
In a partnership with Israeli textile brand TAKEANAP, all blankets and pillows across economy, premium, and business classes will be replaced with newly designed items. Business class passengers on long-haul flights to North America will receive memory foam pillows with cooling technology and a mattress topper to make the seat more comfortable for sleeping. The experience will also include pajamas, slippers, and a relaxing room spray.
Luxury Partnerships and Amenities
For the first time, the perfume and lifestyle brand Jo Malone London is partnering with an airline. Passengers in premium cabins will receive amenity kits containing socks, eye masks, and toiletries, along with a velvet pouch featuring Jo Malone products. On long-haul business class flights, the pouch will also include perfume and hand and body cream.
Entertainment and Culinary Innovations
El Al is introducing a new generation of personal entertainment systems with content recommendations based on viewing preferences and the ability to resume content from previous flights. Passengers can now connect their frequent flyer accounts directly from their seats.
In the culinary department, chef Assaf Granit has revamped the menus and tableware. Economy passengers on short European flights can choose between a sandwich and a rich poke bowl. Premium menus focus on healthy, high-protein options with nutritional values listed, accompanied by a dessert cart. On long-haul flights, passengers will be welcomed with a unique Israeli chocolate collection developed by Shokolat De Karina.
High-Speed Internet and Digital Services
Looking ahead, El Al announced the future integration of Starlink high-speed internet starting in 2027, offering free high-bandwidth connectivity for streaming and remote work. Digitally, the El Al app is introducing a "travel mode" feature available 48 hours before departure, supported by real-time updates and "Ella," an AI-based customer service representative.
Nadav Hanin, El Al's VP of Marketing and Digital, stated: "Safety and security without compromise, alongside a continuous commitment to improving the flight experience, guide us at all times. As Israel's leading airline, we continue to invest in our fleet, route network, products, and services to grant our passengers the best possible journey."
