Police Investigate Arson and Property Damage in Palestinian Villages
Judaea and Samaria Police opened investigations into property damage and arson in Palestinian villages, alongside ongoing arrests following weekend violence.
Judaea and Samaria District Police have launched an investigation into multiple incidents of property damage, suspected arson, and graffiti spraying in Palestinian villages across the Binyamin and Gush Etzion regions.
Following the reports, police officers and forensic investigators rushed to the scenes, entering several locations accompanied by IDF forces. Investigators began gathering evidence and taking testimonies to determine the circumstances and track down those responsible.
Police stated that the investigation is ongoing, and forces are expected to enter additional untested scenes in the coming hours to complete evidence collection.
The inquiry follows weekend violence in the Binyamin region, including attacks on a foreign journalist and diplomats. The Central Unit of the Judaea and Samaria District is handling the case, with arrest operations launched under Operation "Olive Branch" in cooperation with Shin Bet, Border Police, and the IDF.
Authorities noted that it remains unconfirmed whether a direct link exists between the current property damage incidents and the weekend violence.
