Two minors residing in Eilat were arrested overnight on suspicion of involvement in the assault of a hotel security guard after he refused to allow a group of teenagers to enter the premises.

According to an initial police investigation, a dispute broke out between the teenagers and the security guard when he denied them entry. Police reported that the argument escalated, resulting in the guard being physically assaulted. Officers who arrived at the scene launched an investigation, leading to the arrest of two local minors. The suspects are scheduled to appear at the Magistrate Court in Eilat, where police will request an extension of their detention.

Meanwhile, the Eilat police district has finalized its preparations ahead of Yom Kippur. District Commander Superintendent Alon Kalfon briefed command staff and police forces on operational tasks and security highlights for the fast day.

During Yom Kippur, reinforced forces—including patrol and traffic officers, Border Police, riot units, detectives, and maritime police—will operate throughout Eilat. Police stated that forces will be deployed across the city to maintain public order and security, and to respond to any emergency incidents.
