Tzohar Marks 29th Year of Open Yom Kippur Services Across Israel
The Tzohar organization is holding its 29th open Yom Kippur prayer initiative across 400 locations in Israel, including a special gathering at Hostages Square in Tel Aviv.
Ahead of Yom Kippur, the Tzohar organization, in cooperation with Mytavim, is holding its 29th open prayer initiative across Israel. Over 400 prayer locations will operate nationwide to welcome anyone wishing to participate in the services without needing a permanent synagogue affiliation.
Open Prayer Services Nationwide
The initiative aims to allow every individual to find a nearby, accessible, and welcoming prayer space in a respectful atmosphere. The full list of locations is available on the Tzohar website.
Special Gathering at Hostages Square
In addition to the nationwide locations, Tzohar will host a special Yom Kippur service at Hostages Square in Tel Aviv, in cooperation with the Orot Shaul hesder yeshiva and family representatives.
"Yom Kippur is a moment when the people of Israel gather together out of a desire to draw close, connect, and seek repair," said Rabbi David Stav, chairman of Tzohar.
Organizers noted that this year the gathering carries profound significance, combining gratitude for returned hostages, remembrance for those who perished, and prayers for the IDF soldiers.
