Four contestants remain on "MasterChef", and tomorrow (Saturday) comes perhaps the most fateful task of the season. Returning to the kitchen is the esteemed chef Israel Aharoni, and we are taking this opportunity to revisit some of his recipes that are perfect for the weekend (new episode of "MasterChef", Saturday on Channel 12).

Green stew, rice patties, steamed eggplants, and a spicy chicken and cucumber salad that will leave you wondering why you waited so long to try it. Here are the recipes that will make your weekend.

Chicken and cauliflower patties in lemon sauce

Feeling like it's time for something different? Aharoni combines ground chicken with steamed cauliflower, sage, nutmeg, and plenty of lemon. After a quick fry, the patties simmer in a sauce of chicken broth and lemon juice until soft and glazed. It requires a bit more effort than standard patties, but the result is juicy, tangy, and full of flavor.

Spicy chicken and cucumber salad

This is not just another quick chicken salad, but one of the dishes synonymous with Aharoni. Tender chicken breast and crunchy cucumbers, cilantro, green onion, and chili, topped with a sauce of tahini, soy, ginger, garlic, and lemon. Half an hour of work results in a dish that is spicy, fresh, and vibrant.

Rice patties

Have leftover white rice in the fridge? Instead of reheating it, Aharoni turns it into browned and crispy patties in just 15 minutes. Add mozzarella, basil, red onion, and a little hot pepper, mix, form, and fry for a few minutes on each side. It is a simple recipe and an excellent way to give leftovers a new life.

Steamed eggplants

Eggplants usually imply frying and lots of oil, but Aharoni takes a different approach. Steam them until soft, slice, and let them absorb a sauce of soy, rice vinegar, ginger, garlic, and chili. The whole process takes half an hour, with only 15 minutes of active work and just one teaspoon of oil.

Fresh green vegetables

Ten minutes, one pan, and plenty of greens. Aharoni stir-fries bok choy, green beans, and asparagus with garlic, ginger, and green onion, finished with a sauce of soy, mirin, and sesame oil. This light vegetarian dish works perfectly as a side, an appetizer, or a quick dinner.
