ChatGPT Advertising Platform Launches in Israel with Natural Intelligence in Beta
OpenAI has launched its ChatGPT advertising platform in Israel, with digital firm Natural Intelligence joining early beta trials. The system features dedicated sponsored boxes, strict user protections, and robust engagement metrics.

OpenAI has officially opened its advertising platform to Israeli users, marking a significant milestone for digital marketing in the region. Natural Intelligence, an Israeli digital advertising company operating the comparison sites Top10.com and BestMoney, has become one of the first global entities to gain access to the beta phase of chat-based advertising.
Record-Breaking Engagement in Beta
According to company data, Natural Intelligence has participated in the platform since the closed beta stage, accumulating nearly 100 million impressions across approximately 50 categories. Within weeks, the firm emerged as one of the top five advertisers on ChatGPT and the largest financial advertiser on the platform. The company's advertising portfolio spans car insurance, banking, loans, mortgages, streaming, SaaS, and B2B sectors. Data indicates that the conversion rate for these campaigns reaches approximately 60% of Google's benchmark.
"The arrival of advertising in ChatGPT to Israel is a step happening faster than expected," said Hila Gil, Chief Marketing Officer at Natural Intelligence. "Conversation-based advertising is not Google 2.0 – it is a new layer in the consumer journey."
Global Expansion and Platform Mechanics
ChatGPT advertising first launched in the United States in February 2026, following OpenAI's January announcement regarding ad integration for free-tier and Go-tier users. The pilot subsequently expanded to Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, India, and European Union member states. Reports show that by September 2026, OpenAI surpassed an annualized revenue run rate of $1 billion from advertising, roughly six months after launch.
The advertisements appear in a dedicated, clearly labeled "Sponsored" box beneath the response rather than within the text itself. The ad system operates separately from the core language model, ensuring advertisements do not influence ChatGPT's responses. Advertisers do not select specific keywords or the exact moment an ad appears; instead, they provide general context guidelines and multiple ad variations, leaving the system to determine relevance.
The advertising model incorporates strict user protections and limitations. Advertisements are restricted from users under 18 and are banned in sensitive categories such as medicine and politics. Furthermore, conversations flagged as sensitive, including instances of distress or crisis, remain entirely ad-free. The current advertising framework supports text, images, and product pricing, while OpenAI actively rejects ambiguous or aggressive promotional content.
