Serious accident: six crew members injured at Ed Sheeran concert

Six crew members at an Ed Sheeran concert in Detroit were taken to the hospital after being struck by stage equipment during the dismantling of the stage at the local Ford Field stadium. The accident occurred last Saturday after Sheeran's performance.
Fire crews were called to the scene around 11:00 PM following an incident described over the radio as a forklift-related accident. According to reports, the crew members were near a ramp in a vehicle tunnel when equipment that went out of control struck several of them while they were walking away for a break.
Six crew members were transported to the hospital. None of them sustained life-threatening injuries, though one remained hospitalized overnight. Two of the injured were reported in serious condition, while four are in stable condition.
"Ford Field has begun a full investigation and is cooperating with the appropriate authorities and the event's production partners. Out of respect for the individuals involved and the integrity of the investigation, we will not speculate on the cause. We thank the Detroit Fire Department and emergency crews for their quick response," the stadium stated to The Independent.
Sheeran himself has not yet publicly addressed the accident. At this stage, it is unclear what specific equipment was involved or what caused the malfunction. The singer is expected to continue his US tour at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Friday, September 4.
