Daniel Peretz kept his second consecutive clean sheet, helping Southampton defeat Norwich 1:0 and rise to seventh place in the Championship. The Israeli keeper earned widespread praise for his saves.

Daniel Peretz received high praise from the Guardian as a key £6M signing for Southampton, helping the club recover following a past scandal.

The Israeli winger found the net in his very first game for the Hammers in the Championship, but his team squandered a 2-0 lead against the other relegated Premier League side, ending in a disappointing 2-2 draw. Daniel Peretz could not save Southampton, which opened the season with a 2-1 loss to Watford.

In the first official match since being eliminated from the playoffs, the Saints and the Israeli goalkeeper kept a clean sheet in a 0:2 win against Colchester from the fourth division and secured their place in the second round.

The Israeli goalkeeper started between the posts for Southampton against Colchester, and early on provided a save from three meters that prevented the hosts from taking a surprising lead.

Daniel Peretz is embarking on a new path: after becoming a regular for Southampton following his move from Bayern Munich, the Israeli goalkeeper is aiming to lead the club to the Premier League. In an interview with SPOX, he discussed the disappointment of last season, his decision to stay in England, and his time working with Manuel Neuer.

After years of waiting for a real opportunity, the Israeli goalkeeper talks about his permanent move to Southampton, reveals the difficult period in his career, and declares that the goal is clear: to lead his team back to the Premier League.

Southampton's owner clarified that he will not fire Tunde Eckert, but a long suspension following the spying scandal could change the picture: "I would be lying if I said it wasn't on my mind."

After missing the first pre-season match and being seen with a brace, the Israeli goalkeeper made his unofficial season debut in a 1-0 win over Eintracht Braunschweig. He started in the XI, left Aaron Ramsdale in the stands, and kept a clean sheet before being replaced at halftime. At the end, he reassured fans: "It might look dramatic, but it is only for protection."
