An 18-year-old Bedouin, a resident of Bir al-Maksur, was arrested on suspicion of driving a scooter without a license, entering a playground near Shfaram, and hitting two 8-year-old children. According to the police, the children were moderately injured and taken to the hospital, while the suspect fled the scene.

Ali Sawaed (24), a bus driver, was murdered early last month in Shfaram. Police suspect that Hisham Hajirat (61), who was shot to death this morning in his vehicle, happened to be on the escape route of the suspects and witnessed the murder, leading to his targeted killing.

Police have established an evidentiary basis against four suspects involved in the murder of Ali Sawaed, who was shot to death upon arriving at his workplace at a bus terminal in Shfaram. After more than 40 days of investigation, the Lahav 433 serious crimes unit filed a prosecutor's statement and a request to detain the suspects until the end of proceedings.

Since the beginning of the year, Northern District police officers and Border Police fighters have seized over 530 lethal weapons in the sector as part of the fight against violent crime. The two suspects, residents of Ibtin and I'billin, were interrogated at the Shfaram station and will be brought to court to extend their detention.

A month after the shooting at a mosque, which triggered an extensive search operation in the north, investigators have determined that the motive for the attack on the sheikh was criminal.
